\r\nSouthern India is a completely different travel experience than the north \u2014 similar to the N. Italy and S. Italy differences. The divide between North and South India is seen in its culture, traditions, music, dance, geography, and politics. North Indians are descendants of the Aryan race; where as the South Indians are descendants of Dravidian race \u2014 72% of Indians are descendants of Aryans whereas 28% are of Dravidians race. The north Indians are taller, stronger, fairer and heavily built. So, they can tell each other apart and obviously have their prejudices.\r\n\r\nFrom our experience the south is much more laid-back and friendlier than the north. We spent a month in the south and saw the dramatic, tropical, lush scenery of Kerala on the west coast and the massive temples famous on the east coast in Tamil Nadu.\r\n
