Full disclosure: I got this idea from Colleen Kinsey \u2014 fellow traveler \u2014 I told her I was stealing her idea (to make matters worse: some items on the list are Colleen\u2019s). Colleen never acknowledged my request to steal her idea. Sigh!!<\/p>\n

Every time I wipe something off my bucket list, another 5 appear. Here is the short list \u2014 missing numbers are completed items.<\/p>\n

1.Do a lap at Monza
\n2.See the Northern Lights in Iceland (went to Iceland in 2016 but no Lights)
\n3.Go to a baseball game in Cuba<\/span>
\n4.Go skydiving
\n5.Visit the treasury in Petra<\/span>
\n6.See the volcano lava flow into the sea in Kalapana, Hawaii (Lava Hike)
\n7.Go dog mushing
\n8.See baby turtles hatch and run into the ocean
\n9.Climb to the top of the Corcovado to see Christ the Redeemer (Rio)<\/span>
\n10.Hike around the Galapagos<\/span>
\n11.Bungee Jump on the South Island of New Zealand
\n12.Visit Niagara Falls when it is completely frozen<\/span>
\n13.Walk across the Capillano Suspension Bridge in (North) Vancouver<\/span>
\n14.Take the Star Ferry across Hong Kong Harbour<\/span>
\n15.Down a Singapore Sling at the Raffles Long Bar where it was created<\/span>
\n16.Walk the Great Wall of China
\n17.Hike to the bottom of the Grand Canyon
\n18.Stay in a glass igloo in Finland
\n19.Attend the Calgary Stampede
\n20.View Dubai from the tallest building in the world \u2014 Burj Khalifa<\/span>
\n21.Stand on Kjeragbolten in Norway
\n22.Witness step dancers outside La Sagrada Familia<\/span> \u2014 actually Pla\u00e7a Sant Jaume in the middle of Barcelona\u2019s Gothic Quarter (1968)
\n23.Go the the Summer Olympics<\/span>
\n24.Climb Adam\u2019s Peak in Sri Lanka<\/span> \u2014 actually Little Adam\u2019s Peak in 2017
\n25.Visit Everest Base Camp
\n26.Ride a Bemo in Bali<\/span>
\n27.Drive across the Confederation Bridge connecting New Brunswick to Prince Edward Island
\n28.Ride a Gondola in Venice (could have done it in 1998 \u2013 Sigh!!!)
\n29.View Capetown from the top of Table Mountain<\/span>
\n30.Ride an elephant in Thailand<\/span>
\n31.Go to the Polar Bear Capital of the World just before the Bay freezes over
\n32.Drink at the Bar Garota de Ipanema where \u201cthe Girl from Ipanema\u201d was written<\/span>
\n33.Go to the airport not knowing which flight or country I\u2019m going to
\n34.Climb to the top of the Eiffel Tower<\/span>
\n35.Traverse the Northwest passage
\n36.Ride a Vespa (I had my chance in Rome & chickened out)
\n37.Climb Uluru \u2014 Ayers Rock in Australia (apparently not allowed anymore)
\n38.Hot Air Balloon over Luxor<\/span>
\n39.Drive a Ferrari through Maranello
\n40.Visit platform 9 3\/4 at King\u2019s Cross station<\/span>
\n41.Visit Provence during lavender season
\n42.Eat Penang Curry in Penang<\/span>
\n43.Drive through the Simplon Pass<\/span>
\n44.See a narwhal in Greenland
\n45.Safari in East Africa (also, Sri Lanka)<\/span>
\n46.Climb to the top of the Pyramid of the Sun at Teotihuacan, Mexico<\/span>
\n47.Stay in a thatched hut in Fiji<\/span>
\n48.Eat a Baked Potato on Prince Edward Island
\n49.Take a local boat down the Irrawaddy<\/span>
\n50.bedding down in one of Cappadocia\u2019s cave hotels<\/del> (2019)<\/p>\n

51.Drive the Dempster Highway during the midnight sun<\/del> (2023)<\/p>\n

52. Go on a canoe trip thru the Canadian Wilderness (2025)
\n53.Accomplish everything on this list.<\/p>\n
