Algonquin Park Canoe Trip

In August, 2025 I satisfied another item on my Bucket List: a wilderness canoe trip in Algonquin Park. The trip was conducted by Algonquin Adventure Tours who provided everything for canoeing and camping for 3 days including an incredible guide, Enzo.

Since I booked the adventure online, I did not know if or who would paddle with me — it turned out to be a total of 7 adventurers: a family from Germany and a family from France plus Enzo.

The Barat-Bergere family from a suburb of Paris – Kristina, Olivier and daughter Amelie. They left their son in Europe since he had to register at a university in Sweden. They all were travelling around Eastern Canada during Amelie’s summer break at a graduate school in Montreal. Here is a photo collage Kristina sent me.
